The initiative, part of RBRU′s broader strategy for sustainable local development, was recently showcased in Chang Toon district. Asst. Prof. Dr. Preeyanan Sittijinda, Vice President for External Affairs, along with Asst. Prof.Warin Supaporn, Director of the Office of Art Culture and Community Development, welcomed Mr. Peera Eiamsuntorn, Deputy Governor of Trat, who officiated the event. The project, titled "Finish Off Soft Power," aimed to harness the unique cultural heritage of Chang Toon, particularly its Cham Samre community, and transform it into a sustainable economic driver. The project focused on developing local products, such as the "Chong Samre" brand of processed rambutan, a local specialty. The initiative emphasized sustainable packaging and nutritional labeling, aligning with global quality standards. Additionally, cultural performances by local students and a "chef′s table" showcasing traditional Cham Samre cuisine further highlighted the community′s rich heritage. "This project is a testament to RBRU′s commitment to fostering sustainable development in our local communities," said Assistant Professor Dr. Priyanan. "By empowering communities to leverage their cultural assets, we can create a more vibrant and prosperous region."
