Chanthaburi, Thailand – October 5, 2025 – Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University (RBRU), in collaboration with the Thai Amulet Guarantee (TAG) Institute, announced the resounding success of the "Exhibition and Competition for the Conservation of Buddha Statues, Amulets, Monk Coins, and Local Talismans." Held on October 5, 2568, at the Siri Rambhai Bharni Auditorium, the event drew an overwhelming crowd of amulet enthusiasts and members of the public from across the Eastern region, significantly exceeding all initial expectations. Presiding over the opening ceremony was General Vuttinun Leelayuth, Chairman of the University Council. The project not only served to promote the conservation of Buddhist art and the valuable cultural heritage of the East and Chanthaburi province but, crucially, achieved its primary goal: to raise substantial funds for the Faculty of Industrial Technology Fund to provide scholarships for high-achieving, financially disadvantaged students. The remarkable turnout underscores the event′s dual impact, reinforcing the university′s dedication to its founding principles. Assistant Professor Punya Wongtai, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, expressed his profound satisfaction with the outcome: "The response we received went far beyond our greatest expectations. I must extend my sincere gratitude to all the supporting sectors—the TAG Institute, the distinguished judging committee, and especially the amulet collectors who gathered here today. This success is not merely a reflection of the power of faith and conservation; it is a direct extension of educational opportunities to the youth of Chanthaburi and the Eastern region. We firmly believe that education is the essential foundation for development, and this activity is a clear demonstration of how we can utilize our cultural heritage to create value and give back to society, fulfilling the university′s commitment to be a cornerstone of sustainable local development." The atmosphere was vibrant, featuring an extensive collection of amulets from famous monks across the Eastern region and local Chanthaburi masters. The competition upheld the highest standards, with judging conducted transparently and fairly by qualified experts from the Thai Buddha Amulet Association, establishing a new benchmark of confidence within the amulet community. The success of this landmark event has achieved its objective of raising funds for education and has significantly enhanced the reputation of Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University as an institution dedicated to being a source of knowledge, fostering innovation, and leading tangible, sustainable local development.
