<p>CHANTHABURI, Thailand — Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University, known as RBRU, and the Provincial Electricity Authority, or PEA, have finalized an infrastructure partnership to relocate power lines and establish electric vehicle charging stations. The project aims to reduce traffic accidents at the university main entrance while preparing the campus for sustainable energy transitions. Engineers from the PEA are scheduled to relocate utility poles at Gate 1 to broaden visibility for student commuters and local residents.</p><p><br></p><p>University and utility officials met April 22, 2026, to coordinate the technical specifications for the site. The relocation of the electrical grid will facilitate a wider traffic flow at the primary access point, which has been identified as a high-risk zone for vehicle collisions. Following the safety upgrades, the university plans to integrate multiple electric vehicle charging stations to support a growing fleet of clean-energy cars. This move aligns with national policies to reduce carbon emissions within public institutions.</p><p><br></p><p>The university intends to monitor usage data from the new charging stations to determine future expansion needs. PEA technicians will oversee the installation to ensure compliance with national safety standards. These upgrades are part of a long-term development strategy to improve campus accessibility and environmental sustainability for over 10,000 students and staff.</p>
