CHANTHABURI, Thailand – December 4, 2025 — Asst. Prof. Preeyanan Sittijinda, Ph.D. Vice President for External Affairs at Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University (RBRU), has been awarded the prestigious “Rajabhat Khunakon” Award for 2026. The award, presented by the Council of Arts and Culture of the Rajabhat University Network of Thailand during its 5th Annual General Meeting in Chiang Mai, recognizes personnel from the 38 Rajabhat Universities across the nation who demonstrate outstanding achievements in the preservation and promotion of arts and culture. Assistant Professor Dr. Sittichindar, who oversees the Office of Arts, Culture, and Community Development, received the honor for her concrete contributions to promoting Thai arts and cultural identity, particularly through initiatives that elevate the university&#8217s historical and cultural heritage to international standing. Key Achievements Recognized: UNESCO Proposal Coordination: Dr. Sittichindar served as the principal coordinator between RBRU and the Prachadipok-Rambhai Barni Foundation to propose the centennial commemoration of the establishment of Mom Chao Rambhai Barni Svastivatana as the Queen Consort. This effort seeks the Organization′s recognition of Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni as a World Important Person for 2026. 50th Anniversary Celebration: She served as a committee member and executive secretary for the university&#8217s 50th Anniversary events, which celebrated the institution′s prestige while commemorating the benevolence of Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni. The celebration fostered widespread participation from students, staff, faculty, and the public. Cultural Preservation: She led the ceremonial activities for the consecration and eye-opening ceremony of Phra Phuttha Chanthaburi Sirisawatwattanamongkol, the university&#8217s principal Buddha image. Monument Maintenance: Dr. Sittichindar oversaw the maintenance and preservation of the Royal Monument of Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni, the Queen Consort of King Rama VII, in 2023. This recognition affirms Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University&#8217s vision as an institution dedicated to local development, utilizing Thai arts, culture, and wisdom as essential mechanisms to drive innovation and learning, aligning with the broader mission of the Rajabhat University Network.
