<p data-path-to-node="7">On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, the Bang Kacha Subdistrict Municipality officially presented the <b data-path-to-node="7" data-index-in-node="106">"Tha Chalaeb Community Waterborne Merit Tree Procession"</b> project to the Provincial Selection Committee at the Chanthaburi Provincial Local Administration Office. The presentation aims to secure the prestigious designation of "Model Local Administrative Organization for Cultural Identity Tourism (Soft Power)."</p><p data-path-to-node="8">The ascension of this community tradition is the direct result of a long-term academic and social collaboration. The <b data-path-to-node="8" data-index-in-node="117">Office of Arts, Culture, and Community Development at Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University (RBRU)</b>, alongside the Chanthaburi Natural and Local Arts Environment Conservation Unit, has worked closely with the Bang Kacha Subdistrict Municipality and the Tha Chalaeb community. Together, they have systematically retrieved lost local history, revitalized indigenous knowledge, and transformed a fading ritual into an official annual provincial festival.</p><p data-path-to-node="9">Currently, the Waterborne Merit Tree Procession has been shortlisted as one of the final two provincial projects undergoing strict evaluation. The winning initiative will represent Chanthaburi Province at the upcoming regional-level selection arena.</p><p data-path-to-node="10">This milestone goes beyond a standard municipal competition; it serves as a powerful validation of RBRU′s vision that "Cultural Capital" can be systematically utilized to generate tangible economic value, drive social pride, and breathe new life into old historic waterfront communities.</p>
