มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏรำไพพรรณี ร่วมกับวัฒนธรรมจันทบุรี ขับเคลื่อน Soft Power ท้องถิ่น จัดโครงการพัฒนาทักษะการทอเสื่อกกจันทบูร อนุรักษ์และต่อยอดภูมิปัญญา สร้างมูลค่าเศรษฐกิจชุมชนจันทบุรี, 16 กรกฎาคม 2568 – สำนักศิลปวัฒนธรรมและพัฒนาชุมชน มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏรำไพพรรณี ร่วมกับสำนักงานวัฒนธรรมจันทบุรี ได้จัดโครงการ “เพิ่มศักยภาพชุมชน Soft Power บนฐานอัตลักษณ์ศิลปวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น กิจกรรมฝึกอบรมเรียนรู้พัฒนาการทอเสื่อกก” ขึ้น ภายใต้กิจกรรมขยายผลภูมิปัญญาศิลปินสู่การพัฒนาอาชีพ 70 พรรษา สมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า จังหวัดจันทบุรี โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ พัฒนาทักษะการทอเสื่อกก สร้างศูนย์การเรียนรู้ภูมิปัญญาเสื่อจันทบูร ตลอดจนบริหารจัดการทรัพยากรต้นกก เพื่อการอนุรักษ์และต่อยอดสู่การสร้างมูลค่าทางเศรษฐกิจอย่างยั่งยืน ซึ่งกิจกรรมฝึกอบรมดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 16 – 25 กรกฎาคม 2568 ณ แหล่งเรียนรู้การทอเสื่อกก วังสวนบ้านแก้ว มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏรำไพพรรณี ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่อัตลักษณ์ศิลปวัฒนธรรมที่สำคัญของมหาวิทยาลัย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วิฆเนศวร ทะกอง ผู้อำนวยการสำนักศิลปวัฒนธรรมและพัฒนาชุมชนกล่าวว่า ในปัจจุบันเสื่อกกจันทบูร กำลังเผชิญกับความท้าทายหลายประการ ทั้งในด้านแรงงานที่ลดลง ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติที่จำกัด และการเข้าถึงตลาดที่สามารถสร้างมูลค่าได้มากขึ้น การทอเสื่อกกที่เคยเป็นอาชีพที่มีเกียรติในอดีต ปัจจุบันกลับประสบปัญหาที่ทำให้การดำรงอยู่ของหัตถกรรมนี้อยู่ในภาวะน่ากังวลและจำเป็นต้องได้รับการสนับสนุนและการพัฒนาอย่างเร่งด่วน เนื่องจากเป็นงานฝีมือที่ต้องใช้ทักษะความชำนาญและความอดทนสูง คนรุ่นใหม่ส่วนใหญ่ไม่สนใจที่จะสืบทอดอาชีพนี้ ทางสำนักศิลปวัฒนธรรมและพัฒนาชุมชน จึงร่วมมือกับสำนักงานวัฒนธรรมจังหวัดจันทบุรี ในการใช้ Soft Power ส่งเสริมให้เสื่อกกจันทบูรกลับมามีบทบาทสำคัญทั้งในเชิงวัฒนธรรมและเศรษฐกิจ อีกทั้งจะมีการนำสื่อสมัยใหม่และเทคโนโลยีเข้ามาช่วยในการเผยแพร่และประชาสัมพันธ์เสื่อกกให้เป็นที่รู้จักมากขึ้น มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏรำไพพรรณี ในฐานะสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเพื่อการพัฒนาท้องถิ่น ได้ขับเคลื่อนนโยบาย Soft Power ด้วยยุทธศาสตร์มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเพื่อการพัฒนาท้องถิ่น โดยมุ่งมั่นที่จะเป็นศูนย์กลางองค์ความรู้และนวัตกรรมเพื่อการพัฒนาท้องถิ่นอย่างต่อเนื่อง ดังที่ผ่านมา มหาวิทยาลัยฯ ได้แสดงให้เห็นถึงบทบาทสำคัญในการทำนุบำรุงศิลปวัฒนธรรมและพัฒนาชุมชนมาโดยตลอด โครงการนี้จึงเป็นอีกหนึ่งก้าวสำคัญในการสืบสาน รักษา และต่อยอดภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น อันจะนำไปสู่การสร้างความเข้มแข็งทางเศรษฐกิจและสังคมอย่างยั่งยืนให้กับจังหวัดจันทบุรีและภาคตะวันออก ผู้สนใจสามารถติดตามข่าวสาร กิจกรรม และความก้าวหน้าของโครงการได้ทางเว็บไซต์สำนักศิลปวัฒนธรรมและพัฒนาชุมชน มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏรำไพพรรณี หรือช่องทางประชาสัมพันธ์ของมหาวิทยาลัยฯ

Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University Partners with Chanthaburi Culture Department to Drive Local Soft Power in Chanthaburi Reed Mat Weaving, Conserving and Enhancing Wisdom for Sustainable Community Economic Value Chanthaburi, Thailand – July 16, 2025 – Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University (RBRU), through its Office of Arts and Culture and Community Development, in collaboration with the Chanthaburi Provincial Cultural Office, has officially launched the project "Enhancing Community Soft Power Based on Local Arts and Cultural Identity: Reed Mat Weaving Development Training." This initiative is part of the "Expanding Artistic Wisdom for Career Development in Commemoration of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn′s 70th Birthday" activities in Chanthaburi Province. The project aims to promote learning, develop reed mat weaving skills, establish a learning center for Chanthaburi mat wisdom, and manage reed resources for conservation and value creation towards sustainable economic development. The training activities are being held from July 16 – 25, 2025, at the Reed Mat Weaving Learning Center, Wang Suan Ban Kaeo, Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University. This site is a significant cultural identity area and a hub of knowledge for the university. Assistant Professor Dr. Wikanesuan Thakong, Director of the Office of Arts and Culture and Community Development, emphasized the importance of this project: "Currently, Chanthaburi reed mats, a valuable local handicraft with a long history in Chanthaburi Province, are facing several challenges. These include a declining skilled workforce, limited natural resources, and difficulties in accessing markets that can generate higher added value. Reed mat weaving, once an honorable and primary income-generating profession, is now facing issues that threaten its existence and urgently require support and development. This craft demands high levels of skill, expertise, and patience, as the weaving process and material preparation require meticulous attention and extensive training time. However, due to economic and social changes, most younger generations are not interested in inheriting this profession and are turning to other occupations with higher incomes. Furthermore, most weavers are elderly and lack health and economic security support. Therefore, if these skills are not passed on to the younger generation, this invaluable wisdom may disappear in the future. In response, the Office of Arts and Culture and Community Development, Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University, in partnership with the Chanthaburi Provincial Cultural Office, is utilizing Soft Power or ′creative power′ to promote Chanthaburi reed mats, restoring their significant role in both culture and economy. We will also incorporate modern media and technology to disseminate and publicize reed mats more widely by creating engaging content through digital media such as social media, websites, and video, which will help create new awareness and images for Chanthaburi reed mats in the eyes of consumers both domestically and internationally, especially among the younger generation." Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University, as a higher education institution dedicated to local development, has consistently driven its Soft Power policy through the Rajabhat University Strategy for Local Development.
